How do I make a tiramisu ?

Tiramisu is a delicious no-bake dessert anyone can make. Tiramisu, or ‘zuppa inglese’ is a cake made of savoiardi biscuits and dipped into San Marzano Borsci liquor. It is layered on a large plate covered with custard and chocolate cream, which is separated by a layer of savoiardi. The process takes about one hour, but with practice, you can prepare it in 30 minutes or less.

All you need is a liter of milk, 4 eggs, 4 spoonfuls of white flour, 8 spoonfuls of white sugar, 2 spoonfuls of unsweetened cocoa, a cinnamon stick, savoirardi biscuits, lemon skin and Brosci San Marzano liquor. You would also need a mixing bowl, whisk, a large pot and a small pot to make preparations easier.

Making the cream – To make the custard, break four eggs and place only the egg yolks in the bowl. Mix in 4 tablespoons of white sugar for about 30 seconds, then add 2 tablespoons of white floor. Pour half of the milk slowly, while mixing the dry ingredients on the bowl. Add half of the cinnamon stick and two lemon skins and pour it into a small pot, placing it on top of the larger water-filled pot. Turn on the stove and continue to whisk the mixture until it thickens. Make sure to avoid lumps by using low heat and continuous mixing. Let it cool down.

Making the chocolate cream – Get another mixing bowl and mix 4 tablespoons of white sugar and two spoonfuls of cocoa for about 30 seconds. Pour the rest of the milk slowly while mixing. Avoid lumps by mixing completely. Add the other half of the cinnamon stick and pour the mix into a small pot. Place the small pot above the large water-filled pot again and mix until it thickens.

Fill a new bowl with water and sprinkle white sugar in it, stirring until the sugar melts. Add two tablespoons of Borsci San Marzano liquor and combine with the water-sugar mixture. Take the savoiardi biscuits and dip them on the liquor mix, making a layer on the service plate. Pour the chocolate cream onto the biscuit. Make another layer of the savoiardi biscuits and then pour the custard in. Refrigerate it so all the flavors would settle in.
